Purpose and intended users
Dokune is a business-to-business workflow platform for accounting practice staff, managers, partners and other appropriately supervised professional users. The product can support tasks such as accounting workflow administration, document extraction, transaction-coding suggestions, draft workpaper preparation, draft client requests, internal summaries and review coordination.
Qualified human review
AI-assisted drafts and suggestions are intended to be reviewed against source information and professional judgement. Where an output is material to a client or will be communicated to a client, the operating model requires a suitably qualified person to review and approve it first.
Users are expected to correct or reject an AI output whenever it is incomplete, uncertain or inconsistent with the source record or applicable professional requirements.
AI disclosure
Dokune identifies AI-assisted material within the professional workflow. Where AI-assisted content is communicated externally, firms should provide appropriate disclosure when required by law, professional obligations, contract, client expectations or the circumstances of the engagement.
Dokune does not represent an AI-generated suggestion as the independent judgement of a qualified professional.
High-impact and consumer-facing boundaries
Dokune is not designed or marketed as an autonomous consumer financial adviser, legal adviser, medical diagnosis system or high-impact eligibility engine. It does not autonomously decide whether an individual receives credit, a loan, insurance, employment, benefits, medical treatment or legal eligibility.
The accounting features are designed to support professional preparation, administration, review and workflow inside a practice. Final professional responsibility remains with the firm and its qualified people.
Traceability and professional accountability
The product is being developed around visible review states, user approvals, audit history and source-linked workflows so that important work can be traced and checked. These controls are intended to support—not dilute—the firm’s own professional responsibilities.
Third-party AI providers
Dokune may use third-party AI model providers to assist with selected workflow functions. The presence of an AI model does not change the requirement for human review and professional accountability described on this page.
